Re: Saturday football
Leicester wouldn't need to beat Liverpool and Newcastle to catch us. They could beat one and draw with the other and would go above us with a win in the final game

Unlikely Leeds could catch us. Everton and (assuming they go on to win tonight) Forest could.

I'm confident we're safe but no one would've had that 5-1 for Everton tonight so its nothing if not unpredictable

Re: Saturday football
If anything its a foul by the attacker if he puts his foot in to block the clearance.
Like when Balbuena got a red v Chelsea for clearing the ball while Chilwell tried to break his ankle

Re: Saturday football
If Leicester take seven points and we don't take any they'll overtake us as their goal difference will have improved and ours worsened.

But let's be realistic, even if we lose all our remaining games you won't see three of those four clubs getting past thirty points. One quite probably will, two unlikely, three aint happening.

Leeds v Newcastle next Saturday

Re: Saturday football
Nah we won’t need another point.

No way are Leicester beating Liverpool & Newcastle.
No way Leeds are winning all 3.

We’re done.

Just the eighteen goals across two and a half matches so far today. Looking at the matches I expected they'd be low scoring drab respect the point affairs.

Leicester would need to be beating Liverpool & Newcastle before we play them and us to lose two games. No chance they catch us

Re: Saturday football
Goose - exactly that. That decision is completely the wrong way round. The defender is about to clear it and the Forest forward puts his leg across him.
I'm watching s stream with Andy Townsend telling us it was a definite pen. It's amazing how stupid some of these ex-pros are

Re: Saturday football
Good job we won yesterday.

This ain’t over yet. Need at least another point at the very least.

Apart from Southampton every other team down there is capable of picking up wins.

Don’t want to be going into the Leeds & Leicester games needing points.

Leeds and Leicester deep in the do do... and we have to play both, not sure how we'll approach those games if we beat Brentford... just hope we doing need points against either...

Re: Saturday football
That’s not a pen.

He’s gone to clear it & the lads fouled him as much as anything.

3-1

2-1 now, already proving an open contest.

Hoping for Southampton to go 3-2 ahead and then lingard fucks up the penalty that sends them down.

2-1

Nicely worked goal.

Game back on.

2 shots on target, 2 goals.

Everton had 5 shots on target, 5 goals.

Thank fuck we won yesterday.

And there you go.
1-0 Forest simple as you like.

goose 10:26 Mon May 8
Re: Saturday football
Southampton the better team so far. Lavia would be a good option to replace Rice.
Alcaraz is a good player too.

Funny team Southampton, they look decent in between the two boxes but make vital mistakes at both ends.

Re: Saturday football
Everton win makes them favorites over the others down there. Expect them to beat Bournemouth on the last day and suspect they’ll go to a now safe wolves and get something there. Anything can happen tho and if Leicester or Forest pick up unlikely wins then it’s game on
